Simo wa mimi andikwa jamani wangu African & to Kristy, Wendell, & Keith

I said, My news written for my African friends. Najifunza Swahili.  I try.
Also Two pictures of my family at Christmas.   Furahi Mwaka Mpya!

I’ve been thinking (niliwaza nini) what is most helpful to you Africa friends.

During the New Year holidays I did something I’ve never ever done before.  I attended a great conference in Kansas, City while I sat in my house 1,000 km away! It cost me nothing except my time to pay attention to the good stuff, because it’s a free web-stream from ihop.org While I’m typing this I found at least 6 weeks of awakening meetings I can listen to and watch because I have true (developed country) broadband internet. I heard Mike Bickle give some very good teaching about operating in the gifts of the Spirit.  He is the teacher that changed my life, in 1992 by teaching in the same conference hall (Bartle Hall) powerful messages from his revelation, mostly about the Song of Solomon.  Just think, my wife was 7 years old then. But she did start a little earlier age-wise, starting meetings in homes that are really house churches when she was 8.

Speaking of my wife; she is getting pretty strong, after her long mystery illness, because she called me before New Years, because she was love-sick and couldn’t sleep.  I feel for her, but I’m glad she loves me so much and is not too sick to feel love-sick.  She thanked me the next day, because she said after I prayed for her she was able to get a good sleep.

Based on what I heard at the end-of-year conference from great men like the founder of Youth With a Mission, Loren Cunningham (not my Uncle) I think that a Greater Awakening affecting the whole world and the USA has already begun.  Mark shared how God spoke that there would be such a great harvest beginning soon that he would have one true convert to Christ for every child that has been aborted. That would mean 80 million converts in a short time in the USA, and probably nearly 2 billion world-wide. There have been meetings at my two favorite ministries with more miracles than those meeting have seen in over 15 years.  They even get emails from other countries (like Lebanon) of people healed while watching the web-stream videos.

So while I was getting encouraged I was cooking, eating, cleaning, and even going to sleep listening to good worship until the speaker woke me up.  But frankly, I’d rather be in Africa with people who love rather than watching a conference in an empty house.

Here, it is just the beginning of what could be the greatest economic crash in history, but God has put me into His kingdom economy through very natural circumstances.  I don’t like working alone, but I am in a recession & inflation resistant business, because if people can’t afford to replace their furnace they will find the money to repair it, because they will freeze to death without it.  I wouldn’t be surprised if we come to have over 1,000% inflation, but as a 1-man business, I can raise my price every hour if I need to.  Although business is slow I seem to earn over $500 in service calls and sell one good job most every week.  Before last week I had two days of no business calls until I finished eating at the American supper time of 18 then I earned a lot of money on one service call and sold a job that carried me through no work last week.

I’ve had enough to replace the three computers that got lost to Tanzania and ship more to my wife for her to sell to pay three months rent on a house that has lots of room for guests & meetings. As soon as I get the delayed credit card payment for the last job, I’m picking up a nice import car that will save me money on petrol and it even has heated seats for my wife when she finally gets her Visa to spend time here with me when she might be very cold.  I don’t spend money easily, but I’m happy to spend $1,500 on a nice car that will save me that much every year and be more comfortable for my wife and future children.  It’s a Volvo, which lasts forever, so I’m thankful I had the money for that.  I still have my long-life 17 year old van for back up transportation.

Business was pretty good for me until the end of 09, but I just started an on-line university course (that cost me nothing, except time) in African History from before from the 1,500s until independence in the 1900s.  I’m even learning about the kingdom of Kongo and the Bantu and Swahili people groups, not to mention the same city I stayed in in Nigeria. I love history and expect to teach it in an African University.

That job may come at a time when life is difficult here.  Keep praying for the USA.  From my observation, great break-throughs and great mistakes often start in the USA.  We desperately need a spiritual Great Awakening and a turn from government that supports abortion, homosexuality, printing money and who is beginning to protect groups who support and plan jihad!  But we have great people with great revelation and who know we were called to bring the concepts of true individual liberty and protection for all kinds of people to the rest of the world.  But you African friends can help us do it, by your great prayer & commitment to obeying the commands of Jesus.

Four of our five English-speaking, married leaders (counting us) have had babies this year, though one was still-born, Bienvenu’s family is happy with Milcah and the other two named their babies, Greg  We are multiplying more ways than one! Now we have to have our own! My wife is happy when she is not love-sick and I am happy when she is

Today a good friend said he would sign the affidavit of support for my wife to finally get a Visa (after a few months) so I can take her to see our beautiful country and my many house-church friends that live on the way to the beautiful areas from here to the Pacific Ocean.

The rough guy who replaced 1/2 of the front of my van & two windows for only $300 just called me to tell me my Volvo is ready and surprised me by saying “I love you.”  & one of the guys that sells me heating parts said, right in front of other people, “God bless you.” when I left today. I’ve never heard that except from close friends in our back-slidden culture. You would think these guys don’t know anything about the Christian life, but they are hungry like most people for love and relationships.  Pray for rough Tony and Adam who is invited to come to my house for dinner when he tells me he’s ready.

Nakupena all. How do you say that?  Mungu bari kiwe!  (That means, I love you all and God bless you)
